Today’s post comes live from the lovely city of Amsterdam where I am accompanying Mr W while he is on a work trip.
I’ve never been here before but it is a gorgeous place! Very green and picturesque. You have to be careful of the cyclists though; they’re everywhere!
Jon was here for a two day course so it was really nice for me to be able to come and join him. We are both taking the day off tomorrow to do some sightseeing!
Today, though, I took the opportunity to do a bit of window shopping (like most men, Jon isn’t a fan!); it’s such a pretty city to wander round and I particularly enjoyed the flower market.
There were so many beautiful flowers there; it was hard not to gather up big armfuls of blooms but there’s no way I’d get them home! So I decided to do the next best thing and take some snaps which will be great inspiration for my craft projects and for my wedding plans.
When I was wandering around the flower market, I had an ambitious but potentially-doable idea: to grow lots and lots and lots of tulip bulbs this autumn, in the hope that they’ll all be in fine form by next April and I can actually make my own wedding flowers! Yes, this might be a crazy idea, but I figured it’s worth a shot – the bulbs are not very expensive, and it will be a fun project to try. I’ll keep you posted 🙂
